We are proudly representing our manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking for a new Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Working as part of their Purchasing department, you will support the team in the delivery of its tactical and transaction work streams. Job Specification
The Job You’ll Do;
- Updating the purchasing database
- Ensuring on time delivery of products
- General administration duties
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services
- Monitor inventory levels and safety stock using numerous reports.
- Liaising with the finance department to resolve invoice queries quickly.
- Liaising with stores/dispatch departments for cost or delivery variants.
- Keep Sage system (MRP) up to date with regular checks to ensure correct information is available at all times
About You;
- Must be experienced within a similar role, ideally in the manufacturing industry
- Strong admin and competent IT skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to communicate and liaise with suppliers and partners via telephone or otherwise
