Job Specification

The Role 

• Provide scheduled technical maintenance and support for ICT to a set of schools.
• Involvement in larger installations in schools in line with documented project plans.
• Provide reactive IT support as required, including telephone support, remote support, site visits and assistance with hardware quotations.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers if required.
• Prioritise calls logged with the helpdesk. 

The Person

• Enhanced DBS issues within last 12 months is essential
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience of the configurations, set-up and day-to-day operations of a broad range of current hardware devices - PCs, laptops, netbooks, printers and other peripherals
• Good understanding of  Windows Server, Windows O/S and iOS
• Good understanding of backup solutions
• An understanding of Internet and email systems
• Experience of troubleshooting networked devices; ability to identify causes and apply solutions - Sound knowledge of common PC applications including Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Good understanding of Network LANs and WANs
• Good understanding of TCP/IP and wireless networking
• Experience of MDM solutions including In-tune and Lightspeed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of GDPR Principles
