Job Specification

The Role:

  • Endeavour to resolve technical problems quickly and effectively.
  • Provide advice and guidance in the use of standard computer applications.
  • Keep accurate and comprehensive records of all calls received in the computer management system.
  • Create and update computer user accounts.
  • Issue computer consumables.
  • Maintain telephone directory accounts.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory records.
  • Process invoices on behalf of the Service.
  • Undertake other general administrative duties.

The Person

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good diagnostic capabilities
  • Good administrative skills
  • Good typing skills
  • Basic understanding of PC and client devices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Services
  • Knowledge of CITRIX thin-client technologies
  • Knowledge of office 2010/2016/Office365
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010/2016
  • Knowledge of Windows Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10 Operating Systems.
  • Experience of using Windows remote control tools
  • A degree in an ICT subject
  • One or more Microsoft qualification e.g. MCP
  • A recognised customer services qualification e.g. ICS
  • ITIL 3 foundation in Service Management
