Administration Assistant



£8.55 Per Hour


Temporary – Full Time

Company Description

We are proudly representing our public sector client based in Morpeth for their search for an Administration Assistant. They now have an immediate requirement to recruit for a temporary assignment to start as soon as possible until October 2019.

Job Specification

The Role

  • Provide clerical and typing service
  • Maintaining databases
  • Processing information
  • Answering calls and queries
  • Reception duties
  • Dealing with the general public over the telephone or face to face in an environment where interruptions are common place and sensitivity to callers needs are required
  • To undertake typing as appropriate, including audio as required
  • Using PC based work processing and spreadsheet packages
  • Input and update computer records for extended periods of time when required
  • Filing, photocopying, cash handling and processing financial documentation
  • Provide relief cover for other members of administrative teams as appropriate

The Person

  • RSA/OCR Level 2 Typing/Word Processing or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Good standard of education
  • Telephone and reception duties in an office environment
  • Operating a PC using WP packages
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and to use initiative
  • Have knowledge of basic office equipment
  • Ability to work within a clear policy of confidentiality
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Flexible approach to duties on or off normal base
  • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels
