The Company you will be working for;

Our client is an established and successful company based in County Durham. They are currently looking for a Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.

Job Specification

The Role you will be doing;

  • Sales and Purchase Invoice processing
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Purchase Ledger control
  • Credit control / Credit insurance management
  • Bookkeeping
  • Management of aged stock
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
  • Ad hoc financial tasks as required.
  • Monthly maintenance of starters and leavers in our healthcare scheme
  • Scanning, filing and uploading of HR documents including contracts and Return to Work forms
  • Monitoring Training Records including expiry dates
  • Informing the external payroll provider of new starters (salaried staff only)
  • Ad hoc HR administration and tasks as required.

About you;

  • A minimum of two years bookkeeping and basic accounts experience in a similar role
  • Experience working within a corporate environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Confident user of Excel.
