Company Description

We are proudly representing our public sector client based in Meadowfield for their search for a Property Help Desk Advisor. They now have an immediate requirement to recruit for a temporary assignment to start as soon as possible till December 2019.

Job Specification

The Role

  • Responsible for the information flow regarding operational activities with customers.
  • Provide information as required to monitor KPI’s set for the Division/function.
  • Assist the ‘Repairs’ Technicians to ensure that the performance targets set for the Building/Property Help Desk function are achieved by regular monitoring and proactive management.
  • Ensure customer needs are satisfied by the effective and efficient processing of work requests / information requests including proactively and co-operatively working with the Technicians and Foremen.
  • Ensure all working practices and systems comply with the organisations Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensure that the organisation continues to be a value for money provider of building services and strives for excellent customer relations.
  • Ensure self-compliance and the compliance any allocated employees with the policies and procedures of both Durham County Council and Direct Services.
  • Promote the services offered by Direct Services to both existing and potential customers as the opportunity arises.
  • Responsible for integrating the working practices of areas of responsibility into the organisation as a whole by encouraging a positive teamwork approach.

The Person

  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or Customer Services.
  • Experience of working at a similar level within a Construction & Repairs and Maintenance environment
  • Customer Service experience
  • Understanding of Construction & Repairs and Maintenance issues.
  • Understanding of local government
  • Understanding of service objectives, policies and strategies.
  • Ability to analyse and resolve technical problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Analytical and decision making skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
