Company Description

Our client is an established and successful company based in Durham. They are currently looking for a Paraplanner to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below. This is a full-time role Monday- Friday, 9:00- 17:00.

Job Specification

The Role

  • Develop positive working relationships with colleagues across Business Assurance, Administration and all other departments.
  • Responsible for on-going maintenance of client records, ensuring all information is scanned and recorded promptly and accurately with relevant systems.
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
  • Undertake research both independently and with the Adviser to identify suitable solutions to meet the client’s needs
  • Identify and collect any outstanding relevant quantitative information required to compile a financial report.
  • Check all compliance paperwork is present.
  • Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations.
  • Complete application/proposal forms where required.
  • Assist with the drafting of transfer suitability letters, new business suitability letters and collating relevant mandatory documentation.

The Person

  • Previous Para-Planner experience is essential
  • Experience of working for an IFA Practice or an independent IFA
  • Experience of pensions or DB transfer
  • Diploma level qualified would be advantageous
  • Experience in writing up of replacement business cases
  • A desire to work in fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driven to succeed both individually and as part of a team
  • Quick to learn, understand and suggest changes to processes to improve efficiency
