Our client is an established and successful company based in Durham. They are currently looking for a Paraplanner to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below. This is a full-time role Monday- Friday, 9:00- 17:00.
Job Specification
The Role
- Develop positive working relationships with colleagues across Business Assurance, Administration and all other departments.
- Responsible for on-going maintenance of client records, ensuring all information is scanned and recorded promptly and accurately with relevant systems.
- Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
- Undertake research both independently and with the Adviser to identify suitable solutions to meet the client’s needs
- Identify and collect any outstanding relevant quantitative information required to compile a financial report.
- Check all compliance paperwork is present.
- Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations.
- Complete application/proposal forms where required.
- Assist with the drafting of transfer suitability letters, new business suitability letters and collating relevant mandatory documentation.
The Person
- Previous Para-Planner experience is essential
- Experience of working for an IFA Practice or an independent IFA
- Experience of pensions or DB transfer
- Diploma level qualified would be advantageous
- Experience in writing up of replacement business cases
- A desire to work in fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Driven to succeed both individually and as part of a team
- Quick to learn, understand and suggest changes to processes to improve efficiency
