Our client is a well-established manufacturing and retail client, with their business and success built on the foundations of trust, quality, innovation and reliability. Due to the on-going success of the business they are now looking to appoint an experienced sales professional, who is able to provide a true consultative sales approach to their customers. You will be reporting to the MD, where you will be visiting customer appointments as well as meeting customers at the company’s outstanding showroom. Job Specification

The Role

  • Ensure that the monthly and annual retail sales targets are exceeded.
  • Monday to Friday: visit all leads provided by the company, up to 3 each day, to give sales quotations.
  • Saturday appointments as and when required.
  • Prepare a quotation using a paper price list initially.
  • Present the quotation.
  • Post sales customer visits.
  • Call all non-sales every 6 months using a diary system.
  • Report daily to the Managing Director and submit a written weekly report to a standard report template given to you
  • Training will be given to produce manufacturing measurements.
  • Attend stands at shopping centres and exhibitions to generate sales appointment
  • Attend the weekly networking meetings.
  • Generate your own sales appointments by networking, family, friends, contacts.
  • Assist the Managing Director with other marketing activities as and when required.
  • Deal with all visitors to the showroom when in the premises.

The Person

  • Previous B2B or B2C sales experience is essential.
  • A background in home improvement sales/products would be highly preferred.
  • Able offer a consultative sales approach based on quality, trust and reliability.
  • Comfortable with a technical sales background.
  • IT literate, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Have the ambition to build a sales team around them.
  • Target driven.
  • Be flexible enough to work as part of a small team.
  • Potentially have experience training new sales recruits.
  • Be diligent, focussed, honest and hard working at all times.
