Company Description

We are proudly representing our public sector client based in Gateshead for their search for an Administrator. They now have an immediate requirement to recruit for a temporary assignment to start as soon as possible till August 2021.

Job Specification

The Role

  •  To provide administrative and clerical support within the Gas Team to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided and deadlines are met.
  • To work as part of a team and support Gas Compliance and Gas Operational Managers to ensure the gas servicing and gas installation process and operating procedures are followed.
  • Provide support to the gas schedulers as and when required to support the planning of gas servicing and gas repair works.
  • Manage the administration of permissions and alteration requests including updating and amending details.
  • To effectively use and provide support to ensure that the company IT, Document and Quality Management Systems are kept up to date to ensure that system updates, gas documentation and operating procedures across the service are completed in a timely manner and to a high degree of accuracy.
  • To promptly respond to enquiries in a proactive manner, providing excellent customer service to ensure that continuous delivery of high quality standards has been achieved.
  • Use all appropriate IT and telecommunications software and equipment to carry out tasks in the most efficient manner and to maximise service delivery. 
  • To demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude to both internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

  • Administration within a customer orientated environment.
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience of manual and electronic information systems and data input
  • Working as part of a team and using own initiative when required
  • Experience of the Northgate Computer system
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Effective IT skills – including working knowledge of the Microsoft office package
