Job Specification

The Role

Co-ordinates with manufacturing and warehousing, to schedule the shipment of specific materials in-line with production schedules and inventory targets.  Provides excellent customer service; able to explain process and products to our customers.  Works in a confident manner to reduce any customer queries/complaints quickly.  Promotes the Company culture internally and externally

Duties

  • First point of contact for customers; liaising primarily by telephone or email.
  • Liaise with the customer account manager; liaising with Engineering on any technical queries.
  • Compile customer quotations with the customer account manager.
  • Enter orders onto the Oracle database.
  • Process and send order acknowledgements to customers.
  • Up-date and maintain EDI orders
  • Attend the daily meeting with manufacturing and warehousing to establish the progress of customer orders on a daily basis and the discreet job report, in relation to the weekly plan.
  • Match invoices to packing slips.
  • Review orders on oracle and release discreet jobs required for orders.
  • Check delivery report in relation to final assemblies.  If there is any delay in delivery, liaise with the customer and the general manager on the reasons for the delay, and negotiate a new delivery date.
  • Input indirect purchase orders into Oracle.
  • Process the stationery orders.
  • Any other reasonable duties, as required.

  • Experience in Materials order processing within Manufacturing
  • Use of Oracle System
  • The drive to progress into Planning
  • Customer quotations
  • Good communicator and team worker
